I had a great time with these guys. They were so excited just to be together–it was really sweet.

After some candy bribes, we put in her favorite video. That did the trick! Toddler portraits are fun. I really liked this one in black and white.

Yes, her eyes are really that blue. I actually desaturated them a bit.

Longs Peak sunburst. Some of you might have seen this one–just re-edited it.  I about crashed when I first saw this (I was driving about 60mph), it was so beautiful. Luckily I had my camera in the passenger seat and was able to catch this image through the passenger window. I’ve since realized that these dramatic skies are rather typical around here. Ho, hum.

Here are some of the photos and designs I’ve done for this year’s holiday season. I’ve learned a lot in the last year and it was fun to do these–both the photography and the graphic design. I’m really busy right now, but I’m thankful for the opportunity to vent some creative energy:) I do a fair bit of editing and writing about design, which doesn’t always leave a lot of time to do it!

This portrait was lots of fun. There was light bouncing around like crazy, which makes for a happy photographer.

For this family, I wanted to make some images that would have a timeless quality: so the family could look at them 5 years from now and still enjoy them. I had in mind a moody, shadowy look that was dark with a lot of visual interest. This one is one of my favorites.

I have a very good friend from Jamaica. We wanted to make an image that would capture how our differences are a blessing and a joy.
